I have dealt with anxiety most of my life and sometimes it seems like there is absolute chaos in my head because of it. During this time, I had recently moved away from my parents and siblings and was feeling very anxious and sad. In Stuck on Blue, I wanted to make it seem a bit euphoric and almost like a dream where sadness is the main protagonist. Similar to Can’t Hear Anything, I changed the tint of the image to capture that emotion we all have felt of sadness and a play on the phrase of “feeling blue”.
